In November, Roomful of Teeth spent four days in front of microphones, at the beautiful DiMenna Center in midtown Manhattan. Producer/engineer Jesse Lewis guided the recording of many new works written specifically for the group in the last two years, including Judd Greenstein’s AEIOU, William Brittelle’s epic Amid the Minotaurs, Merrill Garbus’ Ansa Ya, Caleb Burhans’ No, Sarah Kirkland Snider’s The Orchard, Rinde Eckert’s Cesca, and Caroline Shaw’s Passacaglia. An album is planned for release in 2012 on New Amsterdam Records.
